Biography

I have been an oncology nurse since 1983.  I worked with an oncologist in New Orleans, Lee Roy Morgan M.D. until 2004. During that time I worked giving chemotherapy, assisting patient in symptom management and coordination of care and working with drug development. Im a Reiki Master and completed a certification in healing touch and have experience in Home care and hospice. In 2005 I was working as Director of Cooperative Clinical Trials at Memorial Medical Center in New Orleans.   I searched for opportunities outside of New Orleans and found myself moving to Boston to work at Dana Farber in January 2006. I work in Thoracic Oncology as a Program nurse which includes phone triage, symptom management, education and coordination of care.  I am a member of The Evidence Base Practice Committee, Schwartz Rounds Planning Committee and Patient Education Committee. I am an active member of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), and Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer(MASCC).
