I have been a nurse since 1984. I previously worked in long term care before joining the inpatient unit, at Dana-Farber Partners Cancer Care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I worked there for 10 years. In 2006 I was a hospice nurse for two years before becoming a hospice liaison to Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). During that time I worked closely with the Pain and Palliative Care service team at DFCI. Presently I am a program nurse with the department of Neuro-Oncology at DFCI. My personal interests lie in primary nursing and ethics. Primary nursing allows me to be my patients primary contact, advocate and educator regarding all treatment options. I enjoy forming meaningful relationships with my patients and their families.
