Biography
I have been a program nurse in the Breast Oncology Center at Dana-Farber since 2008. I provide symptom management, chemotherapy education, insurance assistance and coordination of care for our patients. I am the nurse for the Young Women’s Program (women 43 and under with breast cancer) as well as for the Inflammatory Breast Clinic. Prior to my current position, I worked as an Infusion RN at the institute administering chemotherapy to patients with solid tumors from 2005-2008. I started my career as an oncology nurse at Beth Israel Deaconess in their Bone Marrow Transplant unit from 2002-2005. On that unit we also treated malignant melanomas, as well as patients with HIV/Lymphoma.
I am a member of the Program Nurse’s Council, the Team Training Initiate and the Nursing Quality and Improvement Outcome committee. I am an active member of the Oncology Nursing Society as well as Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. I am passionate about the care of my patients and their families and look forward to all that we can learn from each other.
